Ok, so I might not be a professional when it comes to chippys but as far as I can tell, this one was a-ok. We were in the area, having just had incredible luck at the Nike Outlet store when my boyfriend decided he wanted some chips. We spotted this place and away we went.
(Side note: He's a runner and has run many a 10k in the area and said he always stops in for a bag of chips on his way home; this wasn't his first time in).
When we walked in, it smelled absolutely delicious (I love seafood) and there were loads of options readily available to takeaway and the staff were super friendly. We ordered a bag of chips, paid and were off. We managed to scarf them down in no time flat, they were delicious. Next time we're in the area, wanting some chips, this is the place we'll go. -

SO happy to have moved home from our crammed 2 bed tenement in Glasgow's West End, to a lovely home in a beautiful and friendly street in Lenzie.
Amidst the unpacking and stress of moving, we decided to get a fish supper for our dinner one night. We have driven past Pizza Mario several times and thought, let's give it a whirl! Big mistake!
OK, so my husband collected the order, and arrived home looking slightly worried. "I'm not sure you're going to like this" he said.
Well, I carefully unfolded the wrapper, and first, I have to say it smelt pretty awful... it looked even worse! I should have taken a picture to illustrate, but was so horrified it didn't even cross my mind.
I can only describe it as a giant, processed, fish finger, fried within an inch of it's life. I cut into it to see what was inside. Processed, frozen, smelly fish. Yuk! Horrific!
The chips were terrible also, skinny frozen chips that were pale and luke warm.
I will most definitely not be back and would not recommend this place!
Please please let me know if you know of any good chip shops near Lenzie. I have seen one near the co-op in Lenzie, but am scared to try without a recommendation now!
